I have solid outside rings around my trees making it necessary to trim down the mats to fit within the confined space. It takes fresh utility blades often and some brute force to cut through but once you have some practice, the results are very nice. I look forward to seeing how this works as a plant barrier in the long run.

Durable ring, very heavy and lasting. Placed it about two months ago and haven’t had any issues, looks better than the wood mulch I usually use. Water go through when watering the plants, cut the grass and weed eater close to it with no problems. Expensive at first but reasonable since it will last a long time, glad I bought
Suggestion: We suggest the use of a PVC irrigation saw or a very long blade utility knife to cut or trim the mulch mat because of the thicker material. PLEASE wear thick gloves and be careful. See below

Need to Cut a Larger Hole in the Middle of the Tree Ring?
We’ve found that you may use either a fine tooth irrigation (PVC) saw or a very long blade Dewalt brand utility knife. Normally local home center should have.
Oddly if you mark it well and do it on a utility table a very long blade kitchen knife-like 10 inches-works too…(just don’t get your wife mad at you)
ALWAYS PLEASE WEAR GLOVES and go slow and all will go well!
Some customers mentioned using a Dremel saw from the fabric side, and it worked fine. You will burned some rubber but it does get the job done.
We welcome your pickup in Orlando, Fl at our warehouse if you wish to prevent a freight bill. The warehouse is about 5 miles south of the Florida Mall(Sandlake and 441) right off the Fla Turnpike Exit Milepost 254 which is US 441(S Orange Blossom Trail). Is the 441 exit off the 528 and about 5 miles east of i4 and 1 mile west from S Orange Ave near Meadow Woods SunRail Station You’ll need a pickup or van and we ask for 2 days lead time to be ready for you. You pay before pickup and there is a small pickup fee but personnel will help you load up.

If the customer should discover anything incorrect concerning the shipment, the customer should discuss with the driver the concerns and make notes on the Bill of Lading (BOL) prior to signing the BOL or accepting the delivery. Fedex will deliver smaller orders to your home and take a pic of the delivery. Trucklines will drop a pallet with a larger order at your drive way. You may pick up the pallet at the local freight company for larger orders to reduce freight costs
