Thousands of things to write about but the continued entrance of EV’s into the world commercial and non commercial transportation marketplace intrigues us.
The US press shows a stagnating EV market and depending on the outcome of the November USA elections current incentives to purchase EV’s may or may not continue. But the Chinese market is going strong and the inevitability of EV adoption world wide is incessant and eventual.
Also there is the use of 3 wheeled EV or E3W vehicles in large parts of the 2nd and 3rd world that is not often mentioned by the first world press. Google AI Overview says ‘The global E3W market was valued at $5.39 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach $12.15 billion by 2032″ and further says “The Asia-Pacific region is expected to be the fastest growing, with countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Thailand planning to increase demand” AI neglects to say these regions tend to be of temperate climate since the 3 wheel may not have heat and air
Chevy is shipping it’s Equinox small SUV electric vehicles. Press says for the 2nd qtr of 2024 they sold just above 1000 units. The cars are made largely in Mexico. Let’s keep an eye on how this progresses since GM badly trails the Korean Manufacturers and a bit behind Ford in EV sales in the USA. But Tesla has the lions share at over 50%
Here’s Chevys sales flyer for the car
A price point of the mid $30k is available which we feel is very fair and should give a good return
A friend just purchased a Mustang MachE EV and seems to really like it She commutes about 45minutes a day and is thankful for no gas bill. Her husband drives an ICE(internal combusion) Rogue so they are set up for long distance and short distance. A perfect match for a two car family. She had her home electric updated to a Level 3 power capability She is going to purchase the electricord attachment to be able to use Tesla charge stations as well.
EV charging capability for non Tesla EV owners has certainly been one of the largest impediments to EV acceptance. Just hard to believe the auto manufacturers did not focus more on this key part of the EV process.
We’ll say that Wawa’s commitment to Tesla charging in our area of Florida is smart and shows an oil n gas concern can see a world where electric and ICE can co exist as ICE is slowly phased out. All Wawa wants is folks inside their facility buying food and drink(and sadly smokes) Guess they are agnostic whether you drive an ICE or an EV

What Happened with Green Stocks Bonds and Investments this period?
The Federal Reserve did reduce interest rates they charge the financial community by one half percent on 9.18.24. Numerous sources say this can only help sustainable energy install capacity
This from Trellis formally Green Biz on 9.20.24 “The heavy upfront costs and low operating costs of clean energy technologies are particularly sensitive to interest rates and to the cost of capital,” said Ilmi Granoff, a member of the U.S. Dept. of Treasury’s Climate-Related Financial Risk Advisory Committee.
GE Vernova a wind producing legacy business of the old GE spoke of layoffs in it’s water based wind business perhaps in Massachusetts according to the Times Union in Schenectady NY
but says it’s land based wind business is strong. The lower interest rates will hopefully get some of the postponed water based projects re invigorated
Thought for the upcoming period:
The US election is November 5th 2024. Please accept your duty as an American and vote. Voting is pretty easy most places since you can get mail in ballots as well as participate in early voting. Please read about the candidates and issues in less partisan portals if you can find them. Just seems better to get the facts and decide on your own vs doing what an announcer of a press outlet may guide you on. For help understanding Amendments and local and state government law change proposals try reaching out to a Pro Bono law group. They can just let you know what the pass or fail of the action would mean to your life
Good luck
See you soon and please send us things you like and feel others may as well
