Being Green is Patriotic

We are all taught that serving the country in the Armed Forces or as a Police or Fireman or Elected official is Patriotic thereby showing love and devotion to one’s country.

We feel being Green, that is attempting a sustainable life where you try to use or consume  only what you need to prevent overuse of resources, is a strong statement of Patriotism or love of America.

America was created largely on an ethos of  independence and that independence early on grew the country to make us great. But today we are really more interdependent on one another than before. Realization of that interdependence and that limited resources must be used by us all means those that lead a sustainable life are more Patriotic than those who do not.

Have a Great 4th of July with your friends and family, cherish the bounty we have as a country, and give a special nod to those friends, relatives, and co-workers who you know exhibit Green Patriotism to make the USA greater than before!
