On Day 9 of the UN Copenhagen Climate Summit the World Political leaders began to show up.
The British PM arrived and US Secretary Clinton will arrive on Thursday and Barack on Friday.
The big news on Day 10 is the surprise resignation of the Summit President Connie Hedegaard
The BBC reports:
She will be replaced by Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen.
Ms Hedegaard said the move was procedural, adding: “With so many heads of state and government having arrived, it’s appropriate that the prime minister of Denmark presides.”
Not sure what’s up with this but it seems Denmark has perhaps a larger role than they should we feel in setting the agenda for the talks. We appreciate they are the host country but why should they be directing the policy???
