The Average Household uses 260 gallons of water in a day. Quite a large number to say the least. Fortunately with a few simple tweaks you can help reduce that number significantly. We’ll be focusing on shower heads today and the value they can bring in helping to reduce your water and energy bill. For an investment of $10 or less you can save an average of $50 to $75 per year on water bills and $20 to $50 or more per year on energy bills. The Showerheads will pay for themselves very quickly.
Flow Rate
When searching for a showerhead this is the most important piece of technical information that you want to be aware of. The Flow rate is simply the amount of gallons that your shower head allows out per minute. (ex a 1.75gpm = 1.75 gallons per minute of water) The standard showerhead is 2.5gpm so anything less than that will help you save.
