How the Ellen MacArthur Foundation defines it:
A circular economy is one that is restorative and regenerative by design, and which aims to keep products, components and materials at their highest utility and value at all times, distinguishing between technical and biological cycles.
The video below explains and gives you an easy idea of what we mean by restorative and regenerative products.
(Watch the video for an interesting spin on the information we are talking about in this blog…)
So now that you have a review of all the good stuff; we’d like to talk more about the EMF. The Ellen MacArthur Foundation works in Education & Training, Business & Government, Insight & Analysis, and Communications to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. They have been around since 2006 making slow progressively fundamental steps to the growth of the circular economy. December of last year they even got Wal-Mart (one of the biggest corporations in America) to sign on for the Circular Economy Initiative. Yes, “WallyWorld” will be a part of this. Just imagine how huge this will be a couple of years to come where waste is no longer a term we use for things that are perfectly recyclable and reused. No wasted anything. Imagine that!
I mean we could go on and on about this but of course we want you to read it for yourself and see what you think. Head over to their page and comment to us what you think about all of this…
