Here’s the Conserv-A-Store Green Investing Report for the week ended June 10th 2011
Of course the US stock market has been battered recently and our little portfolio is not immune
Currently only the New Alternatives Fund and the FAN Global Wind Energy ETF are the only 2 investments that are positive since Jan 2011
The funds is very multi national since historically some of the biggest concentrations of renewable energy have not been in the USA. The New Alternatives Fund does contain large manufacturers who no doubt make products that perhaps do not help the cause of the environment at all. Panasonic makes many great products but hard to say that it’s consumer electronic division(hd tv’s) is positive on the environment.
It’s the dilemma of “Green Investing.” It’s hard to find a pure “Green” play with large industrial concerns.
